I am a member of pogo but have never met a big jackpot winner

Yes, the prizes are real. Pogo has been around since about 2000 and they are owned by Electronic Arts, who has been around for 20 years.

I know someone who was in the pogo room when someone "won." I'm not sure if they really received the money or not though.
