If it's your local paper, you can probably find it at your local library. It's probably stored on microfiche, so you will need to ask a librarian for assistance. A national paper would also probably be at your library. If it's a local paper for somewhere that's not your locality, it will be harder to locate, but libraries are wonderful for this. Talk to your librarian; you may be able to arrange to have the microfiche shipped to your library, or you may be able to get a copy.

Go to NYDN and ask to see their archived articles from a certain time. They all keep them and if you give them a little lead time they may even have it pulled for you. For a fee ofcourse.
At least that is how it works here in Fla.
