Bench players on the bye weeks. If you start them you do not get any points and I have seen leagues that consider starting a bye person as an illegal lineup forfeiting the week.
TIP: Make sure that you draft your TE, K and DEF with different bye weeks. This way, you only waste one bench spot picking up a replacement when one of those positions is on the bye...

Scoring depends on the rules in the particular league, but I don't know of any fantasy league where a player on a bye week can get any points. So, yeah, you bench the guy and replace him with someone who's actually playing.

On a BYE week, that player is not going to play. If he does not play, then he does not put up any points for your team. That is why during a draft, you also select bench players. Bench players can come up and be put in the same position that your original starter was in while moving that starter to the bench.
When your players have a BYE week, put them on the bench and get a suitable player off your bench to cover his position for that week.

yea .. that would be the smart thing to do .. u a first timer at this? . you should also keep an eye on your bench players because you never know when they could starter heating up and being better than your starters .. also look for matchups .. like if your back up QB is playing a soft defense and your starter is playing a tough defense .. put your back up in ..
Good Luck with your season ..

You need to bench him. That is why it is important to know players bye weeks when you are drafting your team. You want to make sure that you are covered each week.
