Most women ovulate about 14 days after their period starts. But every woman is different and some women have irregular cycles. The only way to really tell is to buy an ovulation detector and chart your ovulation days. Your basal body temperature will raise when you ovulate but do you really want to check your temperature everyday? Also, women tend to have a clear sticky discharge when ovulating.

You only ovulate around day 14 if your cycle is 28 days. Every person's body is different. You can get the ovulation tests at a drug store as suggested here already.

Get a test kit at at the drugstore, but I even saw one at the grocery the other day. If your cycle is usually 28 days, you usually ovulate right in the middle of that--the 14th day from when your period began.

With a senstivie enough thermometer and a bit of knowlege about when in the cycle to start checking, you can tell by a slightly higher body temp.
