to breast feed her baby?

http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/my/profile;_ylt=ArANHEnaoavPZDS5s4tGrPkSBgx.?show=fa7f933651afe3539cd34b9f0b19114aaa

Why has she posted it so much?

Sounds like a mega stressed lass that need to see her doc as soon as possible.

Breast feeding is best, obviousy and as far as I'm concerned that isnt the issue here, its being so irresponsible as to stop in a dangerous place.

Another thing, it seems a bit dramatic, I have a feeling it is made up to gauge peoples reactions.

I also suspect it was made up although I replied as though it was genuine. If it was true I question whether she should be driving on the motorway in the first place. I was annoyed at all those people who told her she was right to do what she did. It was a stupid thing to do, very dangerous and putting her baby's life at risk. The police response was nothing to do with prejudice against breastfeeding.

I think she made a mistake (which if you really look at it was such an incredibly dangerous and foolish thing to do) and is now trying to get people to find excuses for her instead of admitting her mistake and moving on.

I think the police were quite right to charge her. The hard shoulder is for emergencies ONLY and, no matter how annoying and distressing a screaming baby is, it isn't the place to feed them.

Having said all that, she apparently is getting abusive emails and that is NOT on and the people doing it should feel ashamed.

I think that breastfeeding is a natural thing to do but pulling over on the hard shoulder is dangerous so it is probably best to wait for a service station. Hard shoulders are meant for accidents, broken down cars and emergency services. This person should think about what may happen and then would probably stay away from hazardous situations when a baby is involved.

I answered this question as though it was genuine. To be frank I think she probably does realise that she's been pretty stupid and but is pretty desperate to find a way out of it.

I'm inclined to be sympathetic because those early days with a very young baby are still pretty raw in my memory. Sleep deprivation, hormones all over the place, leaking milk etc. Its easy to make bad judgements some days. That's not an excuse, just a fact. Most of us get away with them and then laugh later about how motherhood has turned our brains to mush.

She may have had best intentions at heart, but it was a crazy thing to do, I think that the police should have cautioned her rather than charging, but I would never stop on the hard shoulder unless it was life or death, there have been so many times that people have fallen asleep at the whell and hit cars on the hard shoulder.

i see your point on how many times she has posted it. she must be stressing really bad. going to court must be scary. i think she realise it was a bad move to stop on the motor way. but thats what she felt best at time. she says how her baby was getting very stressed out her face very red. she just wanted to best by her child i felt. but the major thing bout it is that she stopped on the motorway. i think she is trying to get people to understand why she did what she did. or maybe try and get surport.. keep your eye on the papers you might see it in there. i would like to know does happen. when she goes to court.

Whether her baby is hungry or not, she should have waited to the next exit. If the baby was quiet it would't have hurt to wait a bit. She could have caused an accident. What if a truck had ran into her car, she didn't think of her baby then did she?

I think she is a total moron. Her child could have waited a few minutes until she was at a safe place to pull over. I have 2 babies and I've been there. If you can't deal with a screaming baby, then you shouldn't have them.

I think she is genuine and frustrated with everyones opinions. We all make mistakes and that is a part of life and people need to grow up on this site and stop being so critical of other peoples mistakes.

I answered her question and I think that she was looking for justification for her actions.

I have sympathy - but there really is no justification.

I don't know why she's as anxious as she is though - she's not off to prison or anything.
