Oh my god it is sooooooo wrong. He should keep it in the house with him and spoon feed it Cheerioes with bananas. Everyone knows that it is so legally wrong to feed cows apples. What was he thinking. You should tell him right away that he can go to jail for feeding a cow apples and keeping it under his deck. Everyone knows that if you steal a cow, the judge and jury will think you are a fine outstanding young lad for keeping the stolen cow inside your house with you. In fact, they will even let you steal more stuff just so you can keep the stolen cow happy.
YOU ARE A MORON FOR EVEN ASKING THIS QUESTION !!!

Lucian,
Depending on what kind of cow it is, the owner could be out for as much as $2000. Out here where I live, I heard a fellow got shot in the head while trying to rustle a cow a couple of years ago. The owner wasn't charged with a crime. Any way you look at it, it's bad Karma. I suggest your friend drop the cow off as close to the place where he got it as possible. Farmers and cattle ranchers don't have much of a sense of humor about these things. It's how they feed their families and pay their bills. Do what seems good to you.

It depends on the height of his deck. If it is a low deck and the cow is in veal-like cramped conditions, then yes, it is wrong and PETA will be after your friend very soon.

Check the laws in your state, because many states still support public hanging as punishment for cattle rustling (one of those old laws they never bothered to take off the books).

under his deck? hope it's roomy under there. Why is he hiding it? ashamed of what he has done? What does he plan to do with it? milk it, eat it, teach it to play fetch, ....

It is very wrong. The whole thought of taking something from someone else is terribly wrong. Cows are very expensive and the loss can be devastating. He needs to give it back now.

Yes, it's wrong. Stealing is wrong, remember? If you were a cow, would you want to live under a deck? Why on earth would anyone steal a cow? Milk? Manure...yeah, that's it...manure!

The poor cow, that's not enough room under the deck. It needs room to wander. Put it in the backyard or basement.
