Do you think the show could have gone on as long as it did without Urkel? Because, I saw the difference in the show before Urkel, and it was a little strange.

I think it did both. He saved it, but then the writers didn't have anything else, so they overused him, thus ruining the show.

I call it Family Matters but Steve Urkel is what people remember the most about the show.

Not only did he save it, he carried it on his back for its entire run. Each of those cast members should pray to the God that is Jaleel White.
