Not sure what version you're using but I'm using Outlook 2003 and I can add it in as a seperate email account. To find out if you can, go to Tools and find email accounts. You want to add a new email account - if you have an option listed as HTTP then you can add yahoo mail to outlook. You will need the URL for yahoo mail and you're off an running.

I've had problems with Outlook failing to contact Yahoo's server, so I ditched Outlook.

Yes you can. But you will need to pay to have that privilage. Yahoo charges for the privilage and also you get additional stuff like more storage and pop access. (pop access allows you to use a pop server to download your email to outlook) Hope that helps.

Yes, you do not have to get on web to access your email. Outlook is an( in techy Language) email client.
There are many of them. Check web or Computer store.
Outlook is susceptible to virus propogation due to its wide spread use.

do you mean outlook express, the answer is yes, but it will cost you around US$20 or somthing around there per year from Yahoo.
I pay for it and i use it. and since you pay you get a bigger capacity
