i gotta ask what will be achieved by sending her over there. the US has nailed its colours to the mast ,in its support of ISRAEL, there is no way she can act as an honest broker,

You don't broker for peace while you are being shot at. Some times one side is right and one is wrong. Land for peace has only given these people the high ground from wich to do what?
50 missiles have been lobbed into Israel's population. If this was happening to any other country the world would not be calling for "restraint" This is were peace brokers have got them. Every time they give in the terrorist take that as a victory and there is more terrorism.
Iran paid for these missles and I am sure they are looking foward to nuclear war heads being attatched to them one day. This is where peace brokers and concessions to terrorists have got us.

As much as I despise the neocons, and what they have done to reduce the U.S.'s power and reputation in the world, Rice actually has a better chance of getting something accomplished than Dubya does--she's not a complete loss at diplomacy, and he pretty much is.
