I've just had two blissful weeks of my neighbours being on holiday. However, they have unfortunatly came back. They have always been a problem, being really nosey. We couldnt afford a lawn mower, we would hire a company to cut every other month. the grass grew to a certain height during the month and the lady complained to us. She kicked up a fuss and gossiped to her other neighbours about it, we heard offmy nephew who lives down the road tell us she had been stirring. Thsi isnt it, she also complained for my other half fixing his car in the front, it was a regular daily thing, it was a one-off fixing, we had a letter from the council for repeative noise and disturbance with car engines She shouted out other to me that shes reported me for other things like me walking around with revelaing clothing, like my nightie and even my miniskirt. I caught her once throwing a stone at our new patio table, i told her off, she hasnt done it again. but she complains and does other things.

she complains of the kids play in the back garden and even comes out and tells them to be quiet. They are not distruptive, they are very polite and just being boys. I cant even have a bbq without their permission. I told her politely that my sons party would be on the weekend with a bouncy castle in the back garden, and she said that it didnt matter because she had plans herself to go out, but she said if she didnt she would of complained. Its like everytime i put the washing out, shes watching everymove.. shes the problem not me.

On thing you could do (i have done this) is get a couple of cctv cameras. My neighbours disrespect me and are even violent and aggressive. However they are very good at shunning the blame and making counter allegations about my son which for them often gets them off the hook simply because the authorities do not know who to believe and hence rather be rid of the problem.

If you look in the Argos catalogue, you'll see a selection of units varying in price from £25 - £100. Im certain there will be something to suit you.

If you did this, it would provide evidence to vindicate yourselves, ie its not that inappropriate for you to be swanning around your own garden at 7am in the morning.

The cameras also record sound. Another little gadget of mine that I have found very useful is a very cheap mp3 player. An Alba 30 from Argos, has a voice recorder and will record for a whole day. The files can be loaded on to your pc and even burned on to an audio cd.

Its best to get as much evidence as you can to show that you are reasonable, civilised and more to the point to turn the tables on your stroppy neighbour. Is she called Hyacintch Bucket by any chance?

You can get back in touch with me if you want to know anything more. Good Luck.

I would love to live next door to some body like her, I am a naturist and I walk around in my home naked from dawn till dusk. If she is complaining then, maybe it is her who should be done for being a perv kind of person. And she should stop peering through my windows. I also have a rotty dog and he would give her more that wee burns on her grass. How stupid can some people be, I feel that they should just grow up and enjoy life, or if not well bloody move, cos I am as sure as god made little green apples I would not give in, good luck

bloody hell what a *****, id ring the council and say your the one being harassed by that sad cow, id keep a diary and log everything she does, or better still video it, you could of done her for criminal damage for throwing a stone at your table, and to moan about your boys and your husband doing his car strikes me shes got nothing better to do than watch your every move and i think she just plain jealous if you ask me.

kids have got a right to play i have 4 kids only 3 living with me ages from 10, girl 5 yrs girl and 17 month old son, so i know kids have to have fun, and i reckon you sound a very responsible mother, i don't think for one minute your trash who told you that you were, id tip her b.....ocks and as i was saying fix a vidio up if you can or camera without her knowing and vidio anything she does to annoy you etc, then you have good evidence, and who knows you might be able to get her evicted for causing a nusance to your family.

i wish you every luck. you council or what ever should be able to help you with this situation, if not do as i said, hope ive helped you.

I take it u r both in council houses, ask the council to erect a 6ft fence between your properties because she is invading your privacy keep a diary with times dates & her compaints, then take it to the enviromental health people, also I do belive that there is a clause on all Council tenancy agreements about not causing your neighbours any problems, I would read your agreement & pursue the council to rectify the said situation with her, becuse she is the one doing all the complaining,& watching your every move, so change it around bend the councils ears for this problem

We had neighbours that were a pain in the backside, when we went away they let their dog use our garden ( we are two bungalows alone ) so no other dog could have done it, cut our privet hedge up and down put paint on our patio etc etc. I tried everything even taking her to hospital at night when she wasn`t well, baked her favorite cakes, looked after her bungalow when they had holidays, but it was useless, so I just prayed that one day I would win the lottery or something, but one day they moved to be near there daughter in London, and lo and behold we have the best neighbours ever,(no you cannot borrow them) We are a complete family theirs and ours, so don`t give up this is just a passing phrase, good luck and try not to worry.

Problems with neighbours ? tell me about it ,twice we have moved to get away from drug dealing noisey abusive neighbours,we thought we had got the perfect home and then would you belive it we get more of the same.Nobody wants to know ..as i'm writing this i can hear doors been slammed hard and abuse been shouted,Everybody on our street is in favour of getting rid of these people but none of them want the hassle of it been them who has made any complaints they want me to do it.We don't get much in the way of abuse or them complaining to the landlord it's more noise and nuisance,i can't remember the last time i had a full nights sleep without been woken by them. The dealing,i have to wonder is it illegal or not because the amount of obvious dealing that goes on next door to me is unbelievable.I sympathise with you..start keeping a diary and if possible have witnesses hear what is said to you and even better just happen to have your camcorder running discreetly because it sounds like your problem is more like harassment. So next time you have a bbq have the camcorder running watching you so she can't see it and hope she gives you some evidence.

Personally, I would start buying pests like gophers, letting them go in her yard, and then complaining that her "pests" are ruining your lawn. Answer prison pen-pal ads in her name and use her return address. Encourage the neighborhood kids to play on her lawn, miss each other and hit her car with water balloons, and generally be pests while she is home.

At the same time, though, I would be working a second job like mad to get up enough money to move to the country, away from all neighbors. I have found that generally, all neighbors suck.

And enjoy how much energy she is wasting on "hating" you. If she is focusing on you, at least she is leavng some poor other bloke alone.

In our town, you would receive a citation for not mowing your lawn. I would be very unhappy living next door to someone who let their grass grow for two months at a time without having it cut. It looks unkempt and sloppy. I doubt if she had to gossip about it to anyone... anyone driving by your place would see the height of the grass, for crying out loud!

In our town, you would also get cited for noise disturbances.

And if someone were walking around my town half naked, I'd probably call the cops myself.

She shouldn't throw stones at your patio table, but you should try and be a better neighbor.

Seriously.

I think you should flash her and then flip her off or have sex with your husband and leave the windows open and be really loud. I would do something that you can't get in trouble for or something that she would be to embarrassed to make a big deal out of. OR, you could try sitting down with her and be the bigger person if you have to, and talk things out and ask her if there is anything you may have done to cause all this nonsense and if there is anything you two can do to bring it to an end or work it out.

Where is your question?
Sounds as if you have a problem, but not one you can really fix. I don't know how your grass grows up there, but we have to mow at least every week during the growing season or we would get fines by the city. Maybe find a neighborhood child who will cut it for less and get it cut more often. Sorry, I have problem neighbors as well and I just ignore them.
