Alexander. He is a touchdown machine and that is the most important thing in fantasy baseball. Also, Larry Johnson will have to split some time with Priest if hes healthy. Also, eht Chiefs lost their probowl full back Richardson who was a huge part of the Chiefs running game.

LJ should edge out in this decision.
Shaun Alexander will still put up the massive numbers you are looking for. However, with Steve Hutchinson gone from the O-Line, there may be an opening for other teams to exploit the potential for halting the run. Holmgren will also look to push the vertical game more with the addition of Burleson to the squad. Also, the Madden Curse has yet to be broken and Shaun is on this year's cover.
LJ only had 9 starts, but racked up 1700+ yards and 20 TDs. If he had started the entire season, then there would not be this discussion since projected numbers have him well above 2000 yards rushing and 29-30 TDs overall (beating Shaun's season numbers). KC's O-Line is intact and Edwards wants to maintain the original offensive scheme with the Chiefs.
Take LJ first, then Alexander second.

Although this may seem like a tough pick, I would pick Shaun Alexander. Larry Johnson is in a new offense in KC, and while they may say they're running the football more this fall, this is his first full year as the man, so a little uncertainty is to be expected. Alexander may not get 28 TDs this year, but he knows the offense and he's in a better offense in which if the defense starts keying on him, Matt Hasselbeck has more options at his disposal while Trent Green doesn't, I'm not saying that LJ won't have an outstanding year, but you have to be concerned with the adjustments that have to come with a new staff, so for my money, the best bet is Shaun Alexander

I think at this point it's really a toss up. Shaun is the safer pick, but if LJ goes off a whole season like he did at the end of last season, he will far out do even what Priest Holmes did for fantasy owners.

LJ has the potential to give you more catches and recieving yards in his offense than does Alexander. Their running stats could end up tit for tat. Question mark is who'll end up with more tds. I don't see LJ as being a flash in the pan type back though. He's as solid a pick as Tomlinson or Alexander.
Tomlinson will likely be even more of his offense now with the new QB.

Well, i had first pick in our draft last Saturday and I took Shaun. I have to be honest, I'm originally from Seattle and am a huge Seahawk fan (although the Redskins are my #1 team). Alexander will get more fantasy points I think.

I don't think either are a bad pick. However, KC has a proven offensive line and any back can be good in their system. LJ will be almost as productive as last year. Alexander will be productive as well. Seattle did lose one of their starting pro-bowl offensive lineman in the offseason and KC's line is still in tact. I would take LJ.

LJ. Yeah, Shaun is more proven, but he is much older, and has taken much more wear and tear than LJ. LJ , aside from being younger, amassed 1,700+ rushing yards last season, and he didn't evens tart every game. Besides, he has a proven o-line that has helped produce jaw-dropping rushing stats year after year (hell, they made derrick blaylock look good), while SA lost a ket part of the o-line that helped his season last year. Just make sure you nab Priest later as a handcuff.

Pick Shaun Alexander if you want to be completely sure that you get a good runner....pick LJ if you want to gamble with having a record breaking runner...are you a gambler?
Personally...it's just fantasy sports....I'd take a gamble with LJ.....but that's just me

pick Alexander because he is proven. He has had great fantasy years the past 3 years. On the other hand johnson only played 9 games. I would say that he is a risk. You should take Alexander or Tomlinson!
