My contract is currently up for renewal and I need to cut my monthly bill down from £55.00 as I am not using my minutes as much. I need about 400-500 mins and about 50 texts.

I am thinking of leaving Orange for a better deal but still need a qood reception and phone possibly the new Sony Ericsson 800i with 3.2Meg camera. If anyone can recommend what's best for me to take, I will take my number to another network. Does anyone know if Orange still offer a like for like tariff from other networks before I ask them?

Orange don't do good cheap deals on contract. I'm on orange payg and it suits me but if I go back to contract it would be to 3 cos they do the best deals (along with O2) and when their signal fails I believe they share with O2 and theirs kicks in. You need to spend serious amount of money each month with Orange before you get decent deals.

Hi, im currently on o2 and its the best so far, my boyfriend was with orange and he got a dogdgey deal, You can still get that phone you like which is a brilliant phone as my brother has got one, i dont know about orange offering a tariff from other networks though. The best thing would to leave Orange all together. You can get a contract for 20 quid a month and have the messages and minutes as you require now at o2 and the signals brilliant.

I read in the newspaper last week that all networks have a special department that you will put through to if you call them and say you're going to leave the network because they are more expensive than their competitors. I tried it with Vodafone and got a pretty good deal. You will need to get together some info on the cheapest offers from other networks - 3 is pretty cheap for loads of minutes.

I got a Sony K800i for my wife on a '3' contact.
As a returning customer having been with them a year:
18 month contract - first 10 months FREE, (TOTALLY free)
Pay £30 a month for last 8 months. 500mins & 100 texts each

orange is good but they give the best deals to new customers, it might sound mad but when its up, end the contract and then go to an orange shop and take out a new one. You can barter with the sales staff to get what you want, they always do it and its all above board, but please please dont listen to these people who say get a 3 phone, they'll be on here next week complaining abou theirs.

look at t-mobile online tariffs. if you speak to orange customer services and say you want to leave orange to move to tmob because of the tariff and handset available, you may find orange will price match it.
