Amen means "so be it". So when people pray and all say amen. It's a word of affirmation. it's pretty much means "I agree"

So amen being the last word in the bible is appropriate to say all things in this from genesis to revelation have come to and end. Nothing to be added, nothing to be taken away. Just like ending a prayer, amen is the best way to bring it to a close.
