Well as an avid Spurs fan I think their big challenge lies in finding big guys. I can't believe Pop didnt play Muhammed or Nestorvich during the playoffs. I think that was a choice that hurt us this year. Now that they are gone there are some positions that need to be filled. The Spurs have had a difficult time securing large players that can defend huge superstars since Robinson retired and they traded Malik Rose. Muhammed and Nesterovich became clutch players at some moments. Tim, Tony, and Manu cannot carry a team all by themeselves and I like Manu but he can be a bit showy lately. They do need to pick up the pace a bit. The Spurs are also a little old by NBA standards. We have to play a younger and faster game. I like the old fundamental basketball game without all the flare but hey they have to step it up, Dallas killed us on fast break points. The Spurs have some of the best recruiters out there but we need some big guys on our team. Pop needed to play them more in the playoff but hey there is always '99 and '05. We'll see how we do in 06-07. GO SPURS GO!

An aging Tim Duncan will be their biggest challenge.

I still think the Spurs are one of the top three teams in the league and would've put up a hell of a fight against the Heat. However, Tim Duncan isn't getting older and despite the fact that they have some youth in Parker and Ginobili, when Duncan retires, their chances of winning a title go with him.

In the immediate, their biggest need will be to fill the void left by the loss of Nazr Mohammed and Rasho Nesterovic. They're targeting Frederick Elson of Denver and Jarron Collins of Utah, but they really need a defensive center to protect Tim Duncan.

The Spurs need another big man to take some of the pressure off of Tim Duncan. Duncan's still a great player, but he played better before David Robinson retired because Robinson, likewise, was a great player. Also, it seems to me that they don't have an answer for Dirk Nowitzki. I suppose that's part of the same challenge.

i do no longer think of 'very own' is only too suitable, yet i think of that they're a particularly darn good group although. right this is who they have been given: C: Matt Bonner PF: Tim Duncan SF: Richard Jefferson SG: Roger Mason PG: Tony Parker Bench: Manu Ginobili, Antonio McDyess, Michael Finley, DeJuan Blair, Drew Gooden. although they are have many previous gamers, i think of they are gonna do exactly nicely in the event that they stability out their starters and bench, taking turns to enable them to take a seat back. Their bench is particularly sturdy. If no longer for the age, i think of they have been given between the final bench interior the league. Contenders for 09-10 Championship: (in no order) Lakers Celtics Spurs Magic Cavaliers dark Horses: Nuggets Mavericks
