honey, my husband was like that too. and I figured something out...there is a family nucleus. No joke. The family revolves around one person. Which means, everyone's mood will focus on that one person. The next time he gets in a bad mood, don't try cheering him up...tell him the same thing. Say, your mood is bringing me down...what can I do to cheer you up. And when you're in a bad mood..say the same thing...will you do this? It'll cheer me up! See if that works. everything's changed here...PS. praying works wonders

you are not the only one, If I am in a different mood than just a happy mood, all hell seems to break loose at my house. I have learned to keep all my emotions to myself, and do not talk to him about them because he does not want to hear them or it will put him in a negative mood, or whatever his excuse will be, I feel for you. I go through this everyday as well.. Good Luck.. One comment for those that think just because the husband has had a bad day does not mean that the wife did not as well, Espically when both work FULL TIME also.. give me a break..

Most women are in a bad mood one week out of the month. I believe that you are the difficult one. From the sounds of it you bring up this problem often in your relationship. Maybe you should say lets be happy together. When you make it a comp that's what it will be and not many people like to lose but most people are okay with a tie.

Just the way it is. Maybe because we are used to our wives keeping the homestead just right. It is a safe place for us to go to, "thank you women for doing so much for your husbands I know I appreciate it" any way, we look to you to make us happy and when you aren't it is like our happy machine is broke then we get in a bad mood. Plus maybe we take it as "hey I am here with you, how could you be in a bad mood, don't I make you happy anymore" Ridiculous, but we are talking about guys here. I totally understand what you are saying. I have learned not to take it personal and try to stay up beat. When I am in a bad mood she says "please try not to be in a bad mood, it will put me in one to" that right there is a request, a very nice one too. She is not telling me what to do, just suggesting to me what to do and the consequences.

No one is going to be in a good mood every single day of their life, it's unrealistic to think that they are. If your bad moods bother him that much then he needs to give you private time alone and not make things worse by making negative comments. He should know by now that overall you're an upbeat person and that your bad moods will pass.

It does not seem fair, but if he works all day and comes home tired out, he might resent your bad mood. If he is otherwise a good husband, consider yourself lucky and go on.

In my world, I'd have to say, it's your husband. I never experienced anything close to that. My husband was so wonderful to me. He was never in a bad mood, not when it came to me.....He cherished me and treated me like a china doll. I still love him even though he is in Heaven now........
