yes but jimdavis333 is wrong about us cellular it is yournumber@email.uscc.net EX. 6605551212@email.uscc.net would be a valid email address and the emails would be sent via text messages and you are able to reply to this these are known as "mobile email addresses" so in a sense it is just text messaging but email on the pc. Cingular is yournumber@cingularme.com I believe and Verizon is yournumber@vtext.com for sure Tmobile's is yournumber@tmomail.com that is all I know hope this helps :-)

Yes most services allow this and it will come in as a text message. Each cell provider maybe have a different address method so look it up per company. ie cingular could be 7325551122@cingular.com whereas verizon could be 732555111@verizon.phone.com

yes. also, if you are using instant messenger.
go to the "to" section, insert a plus(+) symbol, then 1, then the number, and type your desired text in the space provided, and hit sedn, and it is sent to that persons cell phone as a trext message.
