This depends entirely on whether you're talking about the new beetle or the old, air-cooled beetles? Answer that and I may be able to help.

Beetles are bought with the heart not the head, if you don't really really want one because of the shape get a golf instead.

They drive fine although tough to park at the front because of the big dash board, and you should get almost 40 mpg on a run
