I had the same problem with my car. Then I bought a new remote and installed it, and it was fine for about a month, but then it started again, and this time it was worse becuase it started going off itself on the parking lots. I took it to the shop and they said it was the computer and that it would cost about 700 to fix. After they gave me that price I took the car home and took the alarm off. After that I didn't use the reomote and had no problems with the car since.

when you lock the car manually you are not arming the alarm system but when you push the remote it arms the alarm when it locks. hope that helps

if you have one, use a different remote. if the problem persists, then the remote you were using has problems due to wear and tear. if that doesn't correct it, the the "brain" to your system is at fault, or the installation of it.
