Taking vitamins will do *nothing* for you unless you are malnourished. And they will do little for your fertility if you are malnourished, either. I'm sorry.
However, you should know that men with an *extremely* low sperm count (as low as 2 million) have been known to get their wives pregnant with no outside help. So you do have a reasonably good chance.
It certainly couldn't *hurt* to take vitamins, although since your body won't absorb more than it needs, you will probably only have a healthier toilet. What *will* help you, though, is to learn about your own fertility. Please read _Taking Charge of Your Fertility_ by Toni Weschler. It will *absolutely* increase your chances of getting pregnant with no medical help, and, even if you *do* need help, it can save you time, money, and discomfort in treatment.
Good luck!!

Miss Right, Count the first day of your period as day one of your cycle. Count to day ten and go buy an ovulation predictor kit. It will help you find out when you release your egg. your egg is only good for about 24 hours so you want to make sure you have sperm in you prior to ovulation. Sperm can live 3-5 days but you only want to have sex every other day so it is at its full potential.
Taking prenatal vitamins will not make you more fertile but you should go ahead and start taking them. They will make sure you get the recommended amount of folic acid which helps prevent birth defects such as spina bifida. My husband has a low sperm count too and had recently underwent a procedure for a vericocle. Has your husband seen a urologist yet? Try to find one the specializes in male infertility. I does not matter how fertile you are. If your husband has a low sperm count your chances will not be as high. Don't get me wrong. A pregnancy is possible. Keep trying. Jenni

I've never heard of vitamins making you more fertile. If you're not eating a balanced diet, they will help you become a little healthier, but that's about it. There's a supplement called Fertility Blend that both you and your husband (there's one supplement for women and one for men) can take to help increase your fertility. The website has a "couple's special" where you can get a three-month supply for both of you. You can also go to somewhere like GNC where they'll have similar supplements.

If your old man is low on spurt you can't do anything on your side of the equation. If the little swimmers can't reach it, it could be as rich as the flooded Nile plain but it won't grow!
He needs to see an MD
