Use more efficient machines and or use alternative fuel sources such as wind, solar, hydroelectric.
Go vegan. Animals produce methane that is about 20X more trapping of greenhouse gases than CO2. Also it takes about 9 times the amount of vegetable matter to feed sources such as cows than you get pound for pound. This all translates into energy. Transportation, storage of meats, land usage all contribute to this being a poor environmental choice.
Travel less by living closer to home. Stop taking frivolous trips all together and or walk or bike to places that are within reasonable distance.
Switch most of your light bulbs to floresant which is about 4 times as efficient and last 10X longer than a normal bulb. Though you spend a little more money initially, in the end it saves you an exponential amount of money.
Contribute to charities that conserve the land as land is being overly used for simply economic gain. Charities also inform the public of energy saving ways they can help the environment as well as put pressure on governments to change their practices. The minority of effects are caused by consumers. Laws need to be in place to regulate all kinds of businesses.
Recycle as many materials as you can. In my area alone landfill usage has been reduced around 50% by recycling. Also materials do not have to be found, extracted, and transported from far away. Plus many items are reusable, not just recyclable like paper and plastic bags, jars with lids, plastic containers. There is rarely a need to by Tupperware.
The list goes on and on which I may post later but my overwhelming point is if you care you will find a way. Unfortunately there are many that do not care until it hits their wallet and or lifestyle. Keep in mind this heat. We have had 28 years of consecutive temperature rises, higher than the year before. 1/5 of the North Pole has melted; we have had record number Hurricanes, tremendous flooding like recently out east, and insane wild fires. Just look at what is going on in California. We are most defiantly having an effect and if we do not united to stop it will not only extinct ourselves, but extinct other species in mass, more than we already have.
I hope many hearts are touched as this is one of the most important issues to date. We cannot afford to place partisan politics here. The stakes are just too high.

Global warming is a natural phenomenon that has been going on for millions of years. I think it is sheer arrogance to think that humans can influence the global cycle of warming and cooling.
The eruption of Mount Saint Helens spewed more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere in 30 days than the entire industrial revolution in the US.
That being said, I do support emissions regulations and alternative energy sources. Why? Because I hate smog. Because petroleum won't last forever, and golly gee is it expensive.
If you want to feel like you are doing your part, get rid of your SUV and buy one of those hybrid cars. Or better yet, get a bicycle. Install a solar panel or a wind turbine on your house. Not only are you decreasing pollution, but wind and sun are free, so you save money on your electric bill.

These are two things that everyone can do.
#1.Buy longer lasting energy rated bulbs. There about 5 dollars a piece, but your electric bill is lower and they last longer. Cuts back tremendously on what you use per day. Replace the bulbs you use frequently with these.
#2 Unplug all things when not in use. Even though they may be off, they are still pulling juice from the wall.
Other things that help is driving a fuel efficient car (Yes, SUVs are some of the worst on gas) recycling, travel by foot or bike, etc.

For starters, all of us should stop using airplane and motor transportation and that will make a big dent on pollution thus further aggravating global warming. As you can see the most ideal solution is one that most of us cannot live without.

There are many things an individual can do. Cut down on your electricity consumption, reduce, reuse, recycle (very cliche), exchange your light bulbs for the flourescent ones they sell.. the ones that last forever, it seems. Buy recycled items, drive less and definelty insprie other people to follow your example. That's the hardest part.. Most people can't be bothered.

in case you go with to receive provide money for climate analyze, do you imagine that you receives a cheque in case you're saying," i favor the provide, as i imagine that i visit coach that the figures that the present paradigm is depending upon are incorrect" ? the great environmentalist, David Bellamy, has been silenced, and refused airtime. there remains no shown causative link between the quantity of Co2 interior the ambience, and an develop in international temperatures. Global warming is a theory certain people would like you to believe in. There is a lot of money to be made with it.
Your choice, believe it or not.
