1)find the location of the file (right-click on the file in media player, then click on the properties or "Open containing folder")
2)delete it from that file
3)then go and empty the garbage bin as well.
But remember he might remember the website were it was downloaded from. there also could be a bookmark in your browser to that site. go to you browser and find manage bookmarks -- edit them appropriately

I would confront him with it. Then I would stand behind him at the computer and tell him to delete it. I would tell him I was going to check his computer every day, like it or not. You are the parent, the adult and the guide in this situation so it's your job to enforce these things.

If you begin allowing him to get away with things, he will be running the show, or it will be "the tail wagging the dog" and you don't want that to happen. Tell him when he moves out of the house he can look at porn all the time. He can use it as a screen saver, whatever, but not as long as he lives in your home.

FIGHTINGPIT: HEY ! You are hitting a little below the belt here throwing a cheating husband in on this question....The two don't or probably don't have anything to do with the other.

What you can do to delete any files that he has saved on the internet itself is go into your internet explorer and click on the 'tools' button. Then go to internet options and click on it. In the 'history' pane, there is a button that says 'clear history.' If you click on that, all of the sites he has visited will be erased from the computer, making it harder to find the porn again. You can also install passwords and parental controls on all the search engine sites. You might try doing that to prevent him from finding more.

I'm only going to say this, I may be generalizing a bit but your son probably knows more about computers than you do, if you delete the files and restrict him in every way you know possible, he'll find a way around them.

Also, now that he knows you know, he'll wonder where the files went, if you won't tell him you deleted them and he will assume it was you (most likely). If you really want to keep an eye on him install a keylogger on his computer (one that is well hidden), this one should do the trick, http://www.download.com/KGB-Free-Key-Logger/3003-2092_4-10473525.html

You can be surfing the web and porn will just appear on your computer! The porn is not blocked by parental controls.Internet porn files have to be labeled as such so that they can be detected by this parental control software. He's your son and you taught him everything you know!

find the local folder they are in and right click it and click on delete. if it isn't password protected that should do it.

but if he knows anything about computers he'll know how to restore them.

anything that can be deleted can easily be undeleted

take the computer's powercord with you when you leave the house.

Your husband cheats on you and you`re worried about some porn? Seems like they both need an escape from a control freak.

Just leave it, there is no reason to delete it. You have to expect that from a teenager.

Doesn't matter, he will do it again. Human curiosity is a part of life, especially to a teenage male.
