what do you mean reprogram your computer to open a new page?
To remove the virus download avast anti-virus from http://www.download.com and run a boot scan on the infected computer after installing Avast.
If you need to reinstall windows, reboot using either the CD that came with your system, or by using the quick restore partition on your computer (I think you have to hit F11 during the boot sequence where it shows the Dell logo).

Do you have the Windows disc that came with your Dell? That can be used to erase and reinstall windows to your drive.
Be sure to completely wipe your drive first, so that there can be no traces of the virus left.

Reboot your computer with the CD that came with the computer. Reformat your hard drive and re-install everything. Before doing that, make sure to back up the files that are important.

Too much time! Go to www.mcafee.com. Download their AVERT program onto a floppy from any machine and then remove the virus. Much easier.

if it is the reinstall / reformat disk than sure, which would be all interior the disk. you put in the disk and restart. as quickly because it restarts, you may desire to get a black demonstrate screen that broadcasts some thing alongside the strains of: "Press any key as nicely from cd" hit any key speedy. youll take a seat and wait, And from there its particularly self explanitory. you may desire to the two delete the partition(s) and initiate thoroughly over or only attempt to "fix" your modern-day deploy. individually I continuously think of a sparkling deploy all jointly is ultimate.
