My company is making us fill out a personal data form, emergency contact, name address etc. In it they ask for my EEO Classification. I checked off all of them. I am under the impression it is voluntary info and i do not have to provide it if i dont want to. Am i wrong?

Emergency contact info may be required depending on the type of job you will be performing.

EEO classification is always voluntary and their is a federal law that says that it has to remain voluntary.

It's totally voluntary. If you don't want to fill it out, you don't have to. Companies use it to show diversity and avoid discrimination claims.

You do not have to give it. It is just them being nosy. They are really not allowed to force you. You can also make up answers if you want.
