Yes. It is very pretty in many parts, has lots of cultural things to offer, and no place in Europe is better than another. It is up to the person to fulfill his interests; so Spain would not be better than Germany unless you are not interested in Germany. Get a good tour book and look up some things you might want to see there. Try also to learn a few basic phrases before you go, like good day, thank you, please and etc.
I lived there for four years and it is indeed a lovely country.

Yes Germany is an absolutely lovely country. I have been there twice and would definitely go again.
Apart from the beautiful scenery and the friendly atmosphere and different culture...there is so much to see and so much interesting history to be found in small out of the way towns and the older town centres of large cities...in the form of art and architecture in museums, old buildings and churches etc.....from medieval, renaissance, baroque and rococo.
If you love old castles and palaces etc etc, then Germany is the place to see these.
I would recommend Bavaria as a great destination in Germany....as well as many other locations. For a very good informative book I would recommend the Lonely Planet book of Germany.

Germany is awesome! the food is great the mountains are beautiful! i really really recommend Nuenschwain Castle! (it's where Walt Disney got his idea for Cinderella's castle) it's magnificnet! also the Zugspitz... it's the highest point in Germany i went in July and it was sleeting on the way up the mountain, and there was snow when we got to the top (we were in shorts!) on a clear day there is one place you can stand and see the mountains of all the other countries that border Germany! it's soo great! the black forest is a good trip and we also drove to France a couple of times while we were there.. it's not that far! really cool! i recommend going-- it's a great trip!

It is VERy beatiful. There are tons of places to go and the good news is there are lots & lots of signs in English. & Almost all the super-touristy places have English speaking employees. Overthere students have to learn a foreign language, and though it isn't always english- it does make the likely hood of a German knowing English greater than an American knowing German. There are castles all over the place & a few amusements parks. By the way did you know the country is actually called Deutchland? Weird, huh, but it is. I'm sure you'll love it if you go. I haven't been in many years, but as a child I went there several times because my mom is Geman born.

It is ok, but Spain is much better. Everyone in Europe vacations or has a vacation home on the Costa Del Sol of Spain. It is the Andalucia Coast and it is amazing! It is the combination of European & North African Culture with the setting of Hawaii ... you will love it everyone does.
Just know this Spain basically has everything Germany does, but with an extra cultural flavor in a safe country that looks like Hawaii!!!

of course it is! i would recommend the area around stuttgart- a very nice city. berlin is also a nice place for tourists. since everything's so close, visiting places like belgium or france is something else you should consider. i definetly wouldn't pass up an opportunity to visit germany again.
oh, and germany has a lot of castles in places, just ones as part of local towns that are very interesting as well. did i mention that germany has great food too?

Yes! Try Bavaria! The mountains are beautiful! Garmisch is a beautiful city with lots to see and do. There are so many things to do and see - Kind Ludwig's castles are fun to visit. The salt mine near the Austrian boarder is a blast! Europa park is near the French boarder and was a lot of fun too.
