yes!!
Sometimes we can relate to a story on a level that no one else will understand. Sometimes even fictional stories can alter your perception of your own life.
I personally hope that my perspective is forever changing... life would be much too boring if I saw things the same for the rest of my life.

Just think of the big hoo-ha created by Dan Brown's Davinci Code and Passion of the Christ by Mel Gibson would greatly attest to the immense influence that books and movies can have on human beings.
Therefore, a book or a movie can indeed change the way one sees life forever, especially if the book or movie is controversial in nature.

Yes, definitely.
The Bible, as others have stated before, is a great example.
Also, anything will a strong message or a binding storyline, or a character that leaves an impression...usually does it for me. Anything that makes you sit there and think usually has a lasting effect on your life, whether you realize it or not. It can have a good effect or a bad one...it just depends on what the book or movie is and the person who reads or watches it and their take on it.

I think it can. At least that is what good writer should be seeking for when writing a book.
In fact, i tink that all the books, for the person who just accepts them, lets them to go inside of him/her, just forms the way a person sees life.

I assume you mean the "Bible" (book), and the "The Passion of Christ" (movie), then I have to agree with you. However, if you mean "DaVinci Code" (book + movie) which I have heard from others before, I would say absolutely nonsense. Why?...because even Dan Brown the author says its all fiction!

Yes. When I read "Atlas Shrugged" by Ayn Rand it changed my whole outlook on how a society should work. As far as movies~~~I will always watch 1984 when it's on!
