As you might have surmised, I enjoy being naked in social, non-sexual situations (beach, pool, hot tub, etc.) I'm wondering if others feel the same way, and why or why not. Thanks for your answers.

I think tribal cultures did it best (though I'm not giving up my sports bra), but there was a brief window in the 60s and 70s.
I'm European. We've hung out on the beach naked, my dad took showers with me when I was small, and I think I am a more relaxed, better adjusted person for it. I certainly don't feel the need to position myself strategically to look good during sex.
Social nudity does that. it teaches you that it takes a special kind of perverted and twisted to make it NOT OK to be naked.
P.S. Hygiene is actually more carefully observed among nudists. And obviously you don't sit on anything unless you have your towel.

Yes, people are more liberal about this these days, but I'm too aware of germs to do such a thing. Who wants to sit on a piece of furniture if some naked person with herpes or something just sat on it? I wouldn't do such a thing to my guests, and I hope that they don't do that to me!

Within reason, however. I sometimes come to the door nearly naked, just to shock those annoying Mormons who came by.
