Mixed ( spoken word)

Mixed but you say choose,
not white enough to win,
not black enough for blues.
But why must I choose like you fools, mixed up confused
don't know what to do,
not white enough to win,
not black enough for blues. Brotha I thought you knew,
I like me I love who I am,
like a painters pallet these colors blend. Like I said,
I like me, I love me,
so you can take your choices,
and let me be,
myself while you be you,
then we'll see what these colors can do.

Sista I'm just like you... cool, calm, collected,
looked at, beat down, regected.
I've been tested, have you?
Have you ever been faced with having to choose.
Not white enough to win,

You want me to choose, come again patna cuz' I refuse,
to put a label on whats mine, so take a look at yourself and stop wastin' my time.

yea that's soooo true.. I'm the most mixed up girl there has to be.. 25% white, 25% Venezuelan, 25% black, and the other 25% Cambodian.. i feel like I'm in 4 different worlds sometimes.. but then again, I love who I am.

Cocoavanilla, when I started reading it, I thought, oh, no, Rap. However, I can honestly say, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I have no hesitation in giving it 9/10 +. Keep it up and lets have some more.....................
