If you can't feed him plenty of appropriate size insects, let him go.

Insect should be about 1/2 the size of his head.

Good luck!

Just so you keep the "animal rights" people off your back a little, I just want to tell you, although I used to think it was mean to keep lizards from the wild, I now know that nearly all the lizards available in pet stores are wild caughts, so...

Is it a house gecko? If it is, feed it crickets no bigger than the width of its head. As many as he'll eat every couple days is fine. If you plan to keep it, get a terrarium with mulch on the bottom and a water dish and plants and a florescent bulb on top. They eat at night, so keep the light on about 10 hours a day so they know when to eat. It will probably only eat a couple at a time. You can give it a variety of bugs, but make sure they are not toxic and have no pesticides. Crickets and mealworms are safest. Use a vitamin and calcium supplement powder dusted on the insects once a week. Mist the cage every night so it can drink the drops. Offer it fruit baby food to see if it likes it. With proper care, it will live a longer life than what it would in the wild. Just don't make a habit of it, you will disturb the echosystem. Make sure it's legal in your area to keep that lizard, and make sure it's not an endangered species. Good Luck!

take a glass jar and dig a hole in your yard so that the jar is completely underground and put a small amount of hony or sweet stuff of any kind and in a day or 2 if it dosn't rain then u got alot of bugs take the small ones and feed them to him

also make sure that it has water infront of them all day

you might also need to spray the cage with water to make the hummity go up

you might want to look up what kind it is and see what they like to eat and whats bad for them

Just a bit of a side note: since you caught him from the wild, he might have a harder time getting to know you than a domesticated or captive bred house lizzard, he also could have been introduced to other harmfull diseases than just salmonella and other commoners. so be carefull!!

I am not sure what to do, he should be eating, he may be anorexic, you should try getting one of those food dishes that vibrate because they know to eat it from the movement, the dish will also prevent stinkage from not knowing where the ones you scattered are decaying.

but most of all, he might be scared of being in captivity, he was born to roam free and has not been in human contact for most of his infancy. the best thing to do is to let him go and buy one from a pet store that was ment for pet and companionship.

I hope i was a help,

Why don't you try setting it free so it can find some of its own food the way it was intended to. How do you even know it's a he? It's probably not eating much because it doesn't like to be in captivity. Did you know that wild animals, especially lizzards, will think themselves to death on purpose if they are caged up or unhappy? Your lizzard is bound to die no matter what you feed it. It's going to hate living like that and just decide to die, and it will be your fault.

Sad! Probably this animal will die, why don´t you give it to the Zoo, there are persons who know what he can eat.

If you want a pet, why not a dog, a cat, a bird? they´re easy to feed and to take care of them

by leal worms and small crickets from the pet store.
They prefer live foods better than freeze dried ones.

When he gets a little bigger, try pomeranians.

For now, if he's small, you might have to cut them up into little pieces for a while.
