I would get some neatsfoot oil and rub it into your glove. Use plenty! Then take a baseball and some cord and put the ball in the glove where you want your pocket to be and wrap it up. If you are using it now, do this every night after you use it (clean it first if dusty.) Take it out during the off-season every 3 weeks and re-apply the neatsfoot oil and re-wrap the ball and tie it. Don't let the glove get dried out. By spring, it will be in wonderful condition and ready to go.

Glove oil (shaving cream will work too, but require repeated applications). DO NOT overdo the oil.

Also, DO NOT do the immersion technique (soak the glove in water). A lot of good gloves get ruined this way. Stuff like baking, running over with a car, etc. are also bad ideas.

Go to either a shoe place or to Wal-Mart near the shoe section and get some mink oil. This is either in oil form or in cream form. This conditions the leather, makes it more soft, and waterproof. Put it everywhere on the glove........then put a ball that you'll be playing with in the pocket and rubber band your glove closed. Let it sit like that for a couple of days...you're glove will be pretty broke in by then and very soft. Try it. Mink oil is cheap. Best of luck to you....

I saw this on espn, put a baseball in the glove and wrap a few rubberbands around it. soak it in water overnight and the next day cover it in shaving cream and really work it in. then rinse it and lay it out to dry. I'm not kidding I saw the guy do it.

Using it is the best method but try rubbing in a good coat of saddlesoap, rolling it as tight as possible, and tying it closed with a shoe string. Let it set a couple of days and wipe it down with mink oil. let it set another day or so and wipe it down well with a terry cloth towel. I have been playing ball for about 45 years and it works every time
