I'm interested in all sides here- just TRY to keep the polemic to the level of gorrilla grunting, ok sides? NO personal slander, blaming it all on one group, or blithering radicalism please! Stick to the facts as you see them.
OBVIOUSLY I lean towards impeachment, so you hardly need to rant that I'm answering my own question. NO POINTS for YOU if you do! HA!

Hmmm so far , we have one person who wants to take away my right to free speech, and a few others who seem to think Bush can do no wrong...... oh yeah, I forgot the Jesus appointed him President.
Lying about WMD's to the Congress and the world ISN'T worse than Clinton lying about a ********?

I voted, I campaigned for who I believed in , and I am also doing so now. Saying "shutup" is the true mark of a Neocon.

HEY NUKE LEFTIES: You're little ditty on "look up what a lie " is amused me! It's almost as good as Clinton's statement about "it depends on what your definition of 'is' is." Once again , when you point out the inconsistencies in the Right, they want to scream at you to shutup! ROFL ! HAHAHAHAAAAAAAAA!

WOW the answers came pouring in so fast that the page wouldn't refresh for several minutes. I couldn't even read the answers. I'm glad I asked this question. We have some ranting and raving, esp from the Right, since I'm obviously anti-Bush, but there are a lot of good ideas and interesting input coming in as well.
FYI! ALL that answer: FACT: The Bush Administration has borrowed OVER a trillion dollars in just 6 years. This is more than the roughly one trillion that ALL the Presidents before him borrowed from Washington to Clinton. If you think that makes for a robust economy, well............
Cheney's mantra for economics has always been "deficits don't matter" and they keep chanting that over and over while the rich get richer and the nation is SOAKED in debt.

I think we need to take a long look at what has gone on during the Bush admin. I hope that the US will be able to learn from its mistakes over the last several years, and finally fix things. I'm not sure if Bush has done anything to be impeached (sad to say, that is unfortunate), but he, and his administration, should be investigated strongly after this is over. I agree that what Clinton did was peanuts in comparison to what Bush has done. I would have been just fine with everything had we only focused on Bin Laden, and didn't go poking around elsewhere, mucking things up for a lot of people, American and Iraqi. Lack of focus is what is wrong with the administration. I feel like we are all over the place now and have no idea what to do next. Whoever gets in next is going to have a lot of work to do.

I strongly believe that Bush should be impeached. We have tried to impeach presidents for less (ie. let us not forget the Clinton infidelity situation). Clinton was tried for impeachment for purgery, a very serious crime for the Leader of the most powerful nation on the planet. However, I personally don't think his infidelity to his wife affected the country, other than making him look immoral. Every president before him did it, he just got caught. Anyhow, if we are willing to attempt to impeach a president over lying about his personal life, why in the world do we not take president Bush lying about weapons of mass destruction and starting a full-scale war with a country we have no business in seriously? Understandably, as the leader of the US, you are going to make decisions sometimes that nobody should have to make, where it is a lose/lose situation, but to make the decision to invade a country for no reason, and at the cost of the lives of our soldiers, is foolhardy and arrogant. He has handled the situation poorly, to say the least, and lied to his people. I am fully supportive of impeachment...

Don't be ridiculous, he has a majority in both houses, so how would you go about impeaching him? Remember, the impeachment process is a political one, not a logical or legal one.

Bush was brilliant in his first term - Real Leadership at its best. Remember how he made very few speeches himself? His cabinet and advisers took his politics to the people. He was totally revered. And with 9/11, he could do no wrong.

Now, in term 2, none of that is true. He's on the wrong side of everything, and he tries to speak for his own policies, which is a disaster. HE AIN'T A BRILLIANT ORATOR.

But remember, the President has been zapped by the Democrats every time he has tried to do anything. Our country is now governed by a bunch of nit-picky duds, hardly a statesman to be found.

Taking away your free speech isn't the answer, any more than banning you from a computer. As you stated in your question, however, these are all opinions and not fact. Jesus didn't appoint him President, a loophole in our election system did, regardless of what GW's said in the past. He didn't lie to Congress, there's no proof of that. There IS proof that he was given false, or wrongful information to that effect.
And its too late for any of the terrible conclusions that he's jumped to, or tense situations to be taken back.
You can't start a war on terrorism, because essentially terrorism is extremist behavior that disagrees with its host government. Say what you'd like, there's no way you can stop at least a single individual in an entire population from extrremist behavior, a motivated person knows no boundaries, regardless of positive or negative motivation.
I'd like, LIKE to lean toward impeachment at this point, but it would do no good. The die has been cast and a whole world no longer cares for what we stand for, or what good we can do.
We have a President who looks like Batboy from the Weekly World News, for crissake! how much worse can it get for us?
As for all of the debate over the economy; what good does my paycheck do me when I have to spend $200 a week in gas, in order to get to my job to pay my bills? The economy may be doing good, but the seperation between rich and poor is slowly becoming a chasm, which will erupt in violence, as it has most times in the past.
Me? I just enjoy my bowl of cereal and Saturday morning cartoons, cast my vote during election periods, and give the guy on the sidewalk my spare change, he's going to teach me the best dumpsters to look for food in when this country goes belly up like Gill on a damn Dentist's tool tray, only worse because there's no happy ending or whitty jokes to string anything along anymore.

What has he done to warrant impeachment? Ok, he went into Iraq. He was only backing up the UN's resolutions. There were multiple resolutions that Iraq did not follow or comply with, so what are we suppose to do? Come up with more useless sanctions? Thanks to the UN, Saddam had plenty of time to hide all of his WMD. What else do you have? Are you going to say he stole the election? There is no proof of that. Just a bunch of losers whining that they lost. And then you have all those loonies that say he planned 911. How do you reason and use logic with these types of people? At least Bush has stayed within the confines of the law, unlike Clinton that lied under oath. We should release everybody that's in jail because of perjury.

Oh you will get bashed -- the people who adore Bush will tell you to "THINK FOR YOURSELVES" --- while THEY try to tell you HOW YOU SHOULD THINK. It's really funny. Everytime I read that statement!!! I am an Independent so you won't hear radical on either side - I JUST DON'T LIKE BUSH --- AT ALL. Yes, he needs to GO. He's hurt so many Americans (no, not the rich people of the world) but the rest of us who are sitting here working - older - worked all our lives (hard) yet we can't afford something as simple as health insurance so we are left to die. My husband was going back to school (in his 40's - good "personal choice" right?). Wrong - we can't afford college - thought it was great he got the Pell Grant...made it 1/2 way through and had to quit. We didn't make a lot (obviously) - he got a .25 cent raise and a letter that Pell Grant was denied. All hopes right out the window. He was getting more than perfect grades on top of it. So we're back to square one. You can't get aid for school when you are older easily - it is mostly for the kids out of high school or people of minority (depending on the aid). THE VERY NEXT DAY BUSH SAID ON TV "I DID NOT CUT THE PELL GRANT PROGRAM" ---- he's a liar. He's turned the USA in to a laughing stock......I could go on and on. Yes, I'm upset. Did I mention that? So anyway, my family is STILL SCREWED. And so how are you today? I hope well.

It's time someone that asks this question give some legitimate, legal reasons he be impeached. Not what the NY Times or Air America tells you but real reasons. What high crime or misdemeanor is he guilty of? Someone tell me, I dare you. And before anyone says he lied to get us into a war please buy a dictionary. Look up the definition of "lie" and then tell me when he committed an actual "lie". You can't! I know you people still want revenge for Clinton but he did break the law. I know that Kool Aid tastes good but it really isn't all that good for you.

Finally someone with some sense. GWB has led attacks on many countries that include: Afghanistan and Iraq and we can only assume Iran is next. When the disaster of Louisiana happend, Bush was slow to respond. Had it been someone else as president he would've evacuated the people or at least sent in help asap. When 9/11 happend he sat there reading books to children instead of helping the people in the WTC. He sends soldiers to Iraq to fight wars which he considers "justified", but when you look at what his men are doing to the prisoners in Guantanamo Bay it questions his authority as president. I agree with guitargadfly that GWB should be impeached on his poor running of the United States of America.

I figure the country voted, and got what they asked for....i on the other hand think that Bush is not doing a wonderful job as the leader of our country. He has blown the peace treaty that Clinton established out of the water, he thinks that we need to be in this war for reasons yet to be released, he is the owner of a major oil co. and sets back and lets our gas prices soar, ppl cannot even afford to put gas in their car to get to work...as for being impeached, wouldn't that be wonderful..but maybe this has learned the ppl voting that , looks and speeches can be deceiving..next time vote a little more wiser

No. We must first wait until there is a fundamental power shift in the congress. This November should give us that. the "party" is more powerful than any one person is. There will be no impeachment hearings as long as the RNC controls the US. GWB is a national disgrace, a global threat and a war criminal. he needs to be impeached and then be put on trial. Dick Chaney (aka Elmer Fudd) is no better and needs to go as well.
