proper care and feeding of husbands good or bad advise

I have enjoyed listening to Dr. Laura over the years. I think she is wise in many ways when it comes to relationships and responsibility to community. Her book Ten Stupid Things Women Do is a really good book and also can apply to men.

However, I do not entirely agree with her in this particular book that you're referring to. I don't think generalizing men as being simple and always wanting sex is necessarily a fair assessment. I do understand why she brings these issues up, because they are a constant issue in many marriages.

By taking her advise out of context without reading her explanation is not a good idea, because it appears that all wives are supposed to be June Cleaver proteges. I don't necessarily think that is what she's saying. Her clear point, to me was this: If you make an effort and do things for your husband, he will be more willing to do things for you.

Granted, every marriage is different. This advise certainly isn't going to reach those who are innately selfish, regardless of the gender.

Dr. Laura is a hypocrit - she's a convert not a born Jew and she has a past of taking naked pics with her boyfriends that made the media...never ever take naked pics for anyone anytime if you aren't fully expecting they will be made public. Dr. Laura cannot accept constructive critisism or any view contrary to her own...thank goodness our local radio stations turned her off years ago.

As for taking care of a husband - to a point - I ain't his mama

of course . . if you ever expect to have a decent marriage and long term relationship, a beautiful home cooked meal is essential . . as is tender loving care . . if you are extraordinarily kind to your spouse, you will recieve the same care and attention back.

Wrong answer! There is nothing wrong with taking care of your man but don't make the mistake of becoming his mother. Be his friend, lover, etc. but never his "MAMA'.

Good advice, if you want to play games.

If you want a real friend, don't have a set formula.......
