College is the first step. You'll have to find a good, four year college. Most important is to find a college where you are comfortable and will be happy. A pre-med major is not required to attend medical school. Certain courses are required, such as biology and organic chemistry, but people in my medical school majored in everything from biochemistry to english to history. You'll have to get good grades in your classes, especially those required for medical school. Then you'll have to take the MCAT, the Medical College Admission Test. It's along the same lines as the SAT. Then apply to medical school.

Many people take time off between college in medical school to pursue other careers. Some of my classmates returned to medical school after working for well over 10 years!

The total cost for medical school varies greatly. A state medical school can leave you owing 100,000 after 4 years, but a private school can leave you owing 250,000. That's some hefty debt. Hope this helps. Best of luck.

Go to college as a pre-med major. Then go to medical school. It's pretty competitive, but cost really depends on where you go (public vs private university). Also, begin to make connections. Have any friends whose parents are pediatricians? Talk to them, find out where they went to college/grad school and what they liked and didn't like. Some kind of medical internship would look great on applications, too. In high school, try taking science/math courses, especially biology. (This does not mean take all biology courses; be well-rounded but focused) If you have any teachers you are close to who might know about med school, ask them!

First you need to find a pre-med program (check several colleges for this).
Then you need to find out if the pre-med courses meet the requirements for the medical school you plan to attend.

Most of the time, you can call the college or university directly and talk to an academic advisor that can give you specifics.

You have an abundance of miss-used words. I'd think about another profession.
