No, the Democrats are not communists and most of them are not even socialists. By world standards they are pretty middle-of-the-road. They can only be considered left-wing by comparison with today's Republican Party

First, there's a whole RANGE of political philosophy. What we call liberal vs. conservative in the US are actually pretty close together on the spectrum. More to the right than the republican party becomes fascism eventually. More left than the democratic party eventually becomes communism.

Second, everybody gives their party or government names that sound good, even if it's just another dictatorship.

Because Bush believes in governmental control. Remember the Patriot Act and 9/ll? (Socialism) and he believes in being a Dictatorial Leader (fascism) congress wilts in front of him.

Wow do you even know what the politcal spectrum is? Just because facists have "socialists" in their name doesn't mean they're leftists. They're far far far right.

Democrats like republicans are very close to the center of the spectrumn. They teach this stuff in high school U.S. history class. Did you ever take/pass one?
