I feel that Dr.Laura has been on the air to long, she needs to be taken off IMMEDIATLY! She is rude and NEVER has anything nice to say about anyone. I am sure there are a lot of you out there who agree with me 1000% and I also know that there are some of you STUPID people who LOVE and wishes she was on 24/7 (like my husband)

Wow! Although I'm not a huge fan, I do find that there is value in most of Dr. Laura's message. And, although I've been called many things in my life ... stupid has never been among them.
Obviously she's still on the air because people either need or want to be reminded of her message.
As far as her being rude ... I tend to agree with you. However, in her defense, a great many dense people call radio shows!!!
Also, I was a counselor/therapist and there is no room for political correctness when working with someone who NEEDS to change. Whatever their reasons are. There are those who seek out professional counseling just to play games with the therapist. The therapist has got to be tough enough to cut through the games and get to the heart of the matter, or both client and therapist are wasting their resources.
You may not want to hear this, but if Dr. Laura, or anyone for that matter, pushes your buttons the way it seems Dr. Laura does, then it might be worth your time to honestly evaluate why. Something she's saying or doing is hitting a nerve with you. If you figure out what that nerve is, and what to do about it, then you won't care whether Laura has a show or not.
So, what is it that you and your husband so adamantly disagree about? My guess is: it has something to do with children, and how their reared.

I'm not quite sure I'll ever understand why people feel that just because they don't like something or don't understand it, it should "be taken off immediately."
1st of all- you can't feel pity for the people that call her- to whom she is merely blunt, not rude- because THEY CALL HER. She does not pick random numbers from the phone book to call and harrass people. If they felt they wouldn't get anything out of the experience, they would not sit on hold for an hour.
2nd of all- someone who calls their husbund one of the "stupid people" should probably pick up one of her books before she ends up a bitter cat-lady.

You know she seems to be rude to stupid people.
"Dr. Laura, my husband beats me, but it's because I never grill steak for dinner, and he molests our daughter, because he beats me so bad I can't please him in bed. How can I be a better wife?"
"Listener, you are an idiot. You need to leave your husband, and protect your child. I've already called child services on your behalf."
"No, I love my husband, and he really does love me."
"If he loved you, he wouldn't beat you..."
SHe remains on air because people like laughing at all the stupid people who call in wanting her to validate their own stupid behavior.

Some of the greatest nude pictures I ever saw were of her. NOT because she is so hot (she's normal) but it gave me pleasure to see how hypocritical she really is, this racist bigot of a disgrace of a woman.
