date of election
"horse race" coverage (lets people think one competitor is very far ahead so they don't go out and vote for the other one cause they think there is no point)
advertisements
debates
influences political perception in the area

Well, one way is through name repetition. A lot of times, people don't know who they are voting for, and will cast a ballot for a name that sounds familiar. This is why so many dead people are elected for positions. People vote for names that they recognize. If you hear the same name on the tv day in and day out, they are counting on the fact that you will remember that name, and not necessarily what they stand for. Good Luck!

hmm i can't give you 5 but it is definately influencial because you can see what they mean and what they are winging by their body movement, you know their eyes wonder around, sweating, fidgiting, and then there is the bickering they have between eachother, if one is more domineering then you may think "hmm i want someone strong like that" or you could say "i would rather have someone that can stick to the issues at hand and win it that way instead of butchering someone in order to make yourself look good" so yes it does and those are the only ones i can think of, i hope it helps!
