What are the odds in a percentage (%) that you would vote for the opposite party if that candidate really seemed to have what it takes for that particular office?

I am a registered Democrat and have voted for Republican candidates that I think would do the best job. It is not what the candidate has to do, it is his or her knowledge of the position they are running for. I must say however I have never voted for a Republican candidate for President. I have for Governor and even Congress but never for the top position.

for me it depends on their stand on abortion, the war in Iraq, and education, if i agree I might vote for them
