Wax! Definately! It hurts a lot more, but lasts longer and is much less uncomfortable as it grows in. It's very easy to get razor burn down there, plus it starts growing back all stubbly within 2 or 3 days. Waxing is definately a much better option because it pulls the hair out by the roots. Which means to razor burn and also at least a week before it starts growing back in at all. And as it grows back, it won't be all stubbly and sharp. There's also much less irritation and a lower risk of ingrown hairs like there is with shaving. But like I said, it hurts more. So examine your pain tolerance first.

Get it done professionally though if you can. You'll get better, longer lasting results. And whatever you do, do NOT use Nair! It's not meant for that area and can seriously damage your skin. Especially if you're sensitive to it like I am. I used it on my legs and got this horrible rash for like, a week! Get something that's specifically made for "down there." And it's probably a good idea to leave at least a little bit. As much as it might be more comfortable to go bare, it's much harder to maintain. So just doing a little "clean and trim" is a better idea. It's ok to have a little hair down there. It's there for a reason anyway! (To draw moisture away from the vaginal areas so it lowers the risk of yeast infections and urinary tract infections).

The absolute best solution is probably laser hair removal. Removes the hair entirely and permanently. However it costs a lot more money. I'm planning on getting that done as soon as I get a real job and can put aside a thousand dollars for it. At 17, you probably don't have that much money, but you can look into it as a future option.

Shaving makes your follicles to get infected. Waxing is painful but the results are amazing and it is long-lasting. Take 2 tylenol 1/2 before the waxing.

Waxing, although painful. makes the area look much better and causes less irritation. However, doing it yourself at home is very difficult and usually doesn't come out well. If you are going to shave, try Coochy Shave Gel, you have to buy it from a Pure Romance rep. (like a Tupperware lady but for naughty stuff) but it is totally worth it. Also, for irritation afterwards try Bikini Zone Cream, you can get it at any drugstore.

Waxing definately! If you shave, they will grow back sharp and give you the itchys real bad! People will think you have got crabs or something!! Pop down to your local salon and chat to someone about it. The earlier you have it waxed, the easier it will become in the long run! Good luck x

Wax .,.,shaving will give you infections.,.,.way too many thick hairs to shave with a blade... If you do use a new blade everytime.. It will save you a visit to the clinic.

waxing is better. but you need to be sure to test it first to make sure your skin wont have a reaction to the wax. the area down there is very sensitive and could be very uncomfortable if it breaks out.
