is it wrong to order a chinese takeaway,knowing i can only eat half a portion,when there a countries that are starving

No, it is not wrong. We all make do with the best we have. If you can only eat half, save the other half and eat it later.

No - if you don't order it, some big fat b*gger will anyway, so no matter what you do (as far as ordering takeaways, anyway) you will not change anything in starving countries, so you will have done nothing wrong or immoral. If it really gets to you, for every scrap of food you waste, put £1 in a box and at the end of the year, donate it to the charity of your choice for these starving people (or fly out to a poor country and do some voluntary work, which although is a nice gesture, many people (including myself) do not have the time or can't be bothered.)

why not just order half a portion? Most Restaurants will fill that type of order, although they will still charge you full price. Just be fortunate that you live in a place where you are not cold, starving, homeless, or without internet access.

No, its not wrong. If a starving person was standing in front of you and you only ate 1/2 then threw it away without offering it, now that would wrong.

good question ,well if you buy the chinese then you support them and must eat the whole plate, and like most of us ,if its cheap and made in china we want some ,,,kinds...hell if you are serious about this question ,then dont eat at all as you can send all your moneys to someone else,someelse always gona need more ,and well if you can pick and chews who gets to chew the food fully 1/4 of our world is starving and well dying, to starve to death is one of the worst ways to die,lung cancer is second,and radiation ,is worse than hassan 11 missle loaded with ball baerings,ohhh **** i lost my apitite.....

No, because you not ordering it will not change the fact that there are people starving. You can always keep your leftovers and eat them tomorrow.

It's called leftovers, as in you can eat them later.
Leftovers make you feel intelligent twice.
The first time, when you put them away, they make you feel intelligent because I'm saving food.
The second time, when three weeks later that they have hair growing out of them and you throw them away, they once again make you feel intelligent because I'm saving my life.
