If you have to ask this question, maybe you shouldn't be trying to disable it.

Depends on the firewalL used. With most standalone firewalls they can be deleted in the add/remove programs in the control panel. With bundled firewalls that comes with an antivirus (like Norton 2005/2006), you may have 2 remove the entire program. Some of these bundled packages gives u the option of selecting what u want 2 install in the bundle. In those cases if u have the entire bundle installed, u remove the whole thing then reinstall it without installing the firewall.

Go to the control panel. There is an icon there for firewall. You can disable it. However, I would not disable it unless you also have protection (like Norton) which has a firewall. Two firewalls fight each other - but one, I think, is necessary.

go to Control Panel, Add or Remove Program, search for your firewall program and click "remove".

Why the heck would you wanna do that? Unless you are going to replace it or are no longer on-line.

i don't think you want to do that. go and buy a dummy book, tells you a lot.good luck.
