My neighbor is recieving Unemploymeny but is running his own tree trimming business. He Own his own bucket truck and is paying someone to help him. Should he be recieving benifits if he is working?

I would not be so apt to turn him in but he has been dshooting our animals and everything else.

No. report him. He is one of the reasons your taxes are so high, and people with legitimate problems cannot get the help they deserve.

Turn him in now. You will feel better as you will be freeing up money for the truly needy.

He is allowed to make a certain amount. Certainly unemployment is not a long term solution and thank god he has a way to make some additional money. He could have gone on welfare and lived forever, like so many have done. He will only draw what he's qualified for, don't worry, this isn't hurting your tax dollar. Employers pay into that.

Here in California, unemployment benefits are reduced to the extent that you receive any type of income during the period you are receiving benefits. If you are supposed to get $500 per week in benefits but get paid $200 for a temporary job, benefits are reduced for the week by that much.

Failing to report income while receiving unemployment is a crime in most states and should be reported.

NO but alot of people get away with it also a lots get in real trouble. I for one don't like him taking my tax money.
