This is a tough one... the Soprano's was always great in its prime, I have to see every minute of every episode.
Rescue Me is definitely the best show on TV right now, hands down. But there isn't that urgency to see it like there was with the Soprano's first four seasons.
So although it pains me to say so I will still give it to the Soprano's but only because you said "best show ever". If you were talking the last two seasons then Rescue Me wins.

I don't think either is the greatest show ever...but of the 2, the 1st 2 years of the Sopranos!

Sopranos was the best show ever. Rescue me is just OK. I think the best show out it 24 and the shield baby!

I think 24 is up there now......great show! Sopranos was great the first few years......Rescue Me is good, but 24 keeps you coming back for more!

Neither. Watched the Soprano's for about 10 minutes. Got sick of the juvenile "F" word and exercised my right to turn it off. As for Rescue Me, I like Dennis Leary - though I wish he would wash his mouth out a bit - and I like the team - but they need writers who went to school longer than their sophomore year if they are going to write about firemen who are supposed to be older than 14.

Entourage and House !!!!... they are way wayy wayyyyyy better then them 2 shows combind !!!
but if i had to choice between then two Soprano's never watched Rescue Me ..don't no what day its on. Denis Leary is Awesome tho.
