I have to disagree with everyone. I live in Richmond KY and i love it. I would never think about moving. there is not a whole lot to do unless you like the country life and/or horses.

It depends on where you go there on how much it sucks, but the whole state is behind on the times and the last to change. Very conservative to the point of hindrance. The government is corrupt in most cities. A lot of farm country and the urban areas are lacking in most places like cultural entertainment and nightlife. The housing costs and taxes are not very high compared to other states, but you get what you pay for.
They have a one good thing going for them....the bar-b-que rocks! Go to Moonlight BBQ and then get out of town!

I've enjoyed visiting there and could see myself moving there. I like the rural atmosphere. As far as corruption---that's the case everywhere.

Very boring...I live in Owensboro on the Ohio river.....it sucks!!!
Go somewhere fun.
