If there is like on mars it would be vastly different to plant earth.
Who knows if there was life as we know it. The air pressure on earth is 1013 mb or for simple reference 1 bar (14.7lbsqin)
On Mars it just 1 mb. Jumping out of a space craft without a pressure suite the human body would explode.
The air composition on earth is 20% Oxygen & 80% nitrogen appx.
I do not know the ratio on Mars.
Look at the clouds every day & I'm sure with imagination one could make out faces, like the Sphinx you mention.

The face of mars is most likely human imagination, it is actually a huge volcano that looks like a face whe the shadows hit it the right way and when picturesd taken from earth are not clear. However, there's an evidence that rivers have once flowed on mars so there's possibility of bacteria in the dried up water beds.

Yes. Check out the websites listed below. Have fun:-)! If you want to know about the "Face" on Mars, the possibility of cities on Mars, and the incredible concept of a giant artificial construct out near Saturn, you can find out about them in the websites.
Also, it's incredible but true that Mars has nearly the same axial tilt that Earth has, and it rotational period (1 Mars day) is 24 hours and 42 minutes.

It's on Amerikas tortured brow
That Mickey Mouse has grown up a cow
Now the workers have struck for fame
'Cause Lennon's on sale again
See the mice in their million hordes
From Ibeza to the Norfolk Broads
Rule Britannia is out of bounds
To my mother, my dog, and clowns
But the film is a saddening bore
'Cause I wrote it ten times or more
It's about to be writ again
As I ask you to focus on

Sailors fighting in the dance hall
Oh man! Look at those cavemen go
It's the freakiest show
Take a look at the Lawman
Beating up the wrong guy
Oh man! Wonder if he'll ever know
He's in the best selling show
Is there life on Mars?

Probably has been bacterial life, may still be in underground pockets, based on mysterious trace amounts of methane gas detected on the surface.

If aliens have whizzed by over the past 4 billion years, traces may exist of their passing, if they touched down during the wetter Martian past.

The Cydonia Face is the result of blurry picture taking with a low resolution camera.

New pictures are saddly not as interesting.

I hope we find out for sure sooner rather than later.

Scientists are still trying to figure out if there was ever life on Mars, but if there was at one point, it's very unlikely that it was intelligent life that could create some sort of Face on the surface for us to see. If there ever was life (and there surely could have been since we think there was at one point flowing water on the planet), it was probably something resembling bacterial life.

General consensus is that very basic cellular life did exist there at one time, but nothing so far seems to have survived there.
Definitely no little green men.
the face is a rock formation created by erosion..... no Egyptians either!
