My fiance has a 12-year-old daughter that lives with us. She has pictures of her mom in her room. I'm fine with that, but recently I found this 11 X 17 picture of her mom and my fiance together in her closet. I was putting away some of her clothes. I told my boyfriend and he was even sort of weirded out by it, because he doesn't know where it came from, maybe ex-wife. Okay, now she wants to keep this huge photo album of her parents' wedding. Her mom didn't want it at her house, but daughter wanted to keep it. Is this weird or I am just being jealous?

I think it is normal. My sister's daughter and step-daughter have pictures in their room of their parents together. Deep down, she is always going to want her mom and dad to be together, no matter how good you are to her. As long as she isn't dragging them into the living room and leaving them there, I wouldn't worry about it.

Well, if I was you I would naturally feel jealous too. But they are her parents and she probably wants to look at the beautiful pictures of their wedding day. It isn't weird. He doesn't have them, she does and its cause that is her one and only mother

It seems that you are uncomfortable when you come across these pictures in the house. Understandable.
How about suggesting that she have a special and private place to keep her important 'stuff'.
Maybe a chest in her room or a storage box under her bed.

I know it's uncomfortable but I think it's a good idea for you to just let her have her photos. They are her parents and she loves them.

It's natural for that to make you uncomfortable. But, it normal for her to want those pictures. They represent who she is and the love that she came from.

it's normal.....you know most kids want their parents to be together either consciously or sub-consciously....I don't think your weird at all....she's grieving in her own way.....it's clear you are getting married and her parents have no chance of getting back together so don't worry too much about it.
