Drink plenty of water. I did residential framing and roofing for years in the summer, the heat index was usually 120. I drank about 2 gallons of water a day. What they told me in the Army was look at your urine. It should be clear all the time. If it isn't you need to drink more water. If it is dark orange and foamy, you are severly dehydrated.

If you have a really hard time handling the heat, then you should invest in an airconditioner. If however you cannot afford one there are a few things that you can do. Place a bowl of water behind a fan then sit in front of the fan and it will blow the moisture into the air. You always need to drink plenty of fluids, this will help keep your body hydrated and not feel so blah. Use washclothes, soak them in cold water and lay them on your body, or tie them around your forehead.

Go visit a friend with A/C, or find the closest river, lake, creek, and become a beach bum. It's a great way to meet people too.

Two questions. Got any fans? Got a basement?
If you got both (and a pretty strong fan at that)
you can blow cool air from downstairs and cool off the house!

get a small fan and put a bowl of ice in front of the fan, as it melts the cool air will rise and get blowen by the fan.

I'd stay with someone who has it or just suffer through it. I wouldn't do anything to strenuous.
