He'd have a good chance, but it's impossible to say.
That whole contest is about getting in a groove, and establishing a rythym with the person throwing the ball. I've seen underdogs excel while the "real" home run hitters did badly.

I think he would have done well, but the park in Pittsburgh is Ideally set up for a lefty and he would have struggled to win in the later rounds like Wright did.
To win a home run contest, the ideal contestant is built more like Howard or Pujols typically though. Good athletes who have the endurance to do well in the later rounds.
To answer the question, no, Albert wouldn't have won this year, mostly because of the park.

Has the natural slight upercut to his swing to do so, but the real question is would he have gotten fatigued. The park is built for left handed hitters, so he would have had to crank some out, while Howard had the shorter portch(although he was crushing the hell out of the ball).
I'd take a left handed hitter at PNC personally. If it was like the Juice Box(aka Minute Maid) I'd give Pujols the advantage.

I think he might've, yeah. As a Cards fan, though, I'm glad he didn't. It's easy to get your swing off because of it, and the risk of the oblique muscle acting up again is just too much.

no...the park was build for lefties and plus Howard's pitcher was supposedly the best..two others recruited him for the contest.
