No, they don't hurt uncomfortable though.

. I am speaking from experience. I am 44yrs old and I started getting yeast infections when I was 12 or 13.
About 2 1/2 years ago I had an infection and I tried the OTC monistat creme no luck getting it to go away. I made a doctors appointment he gave me some oral pills to take but still no luck, by now I don't ever want to put on anything from my waist down. Another doctor took all kinds of test cultures, most of the time I didn't even know he what was doing but he was the one who fixed me right and I haven't had one since. I don't wear jeans during the summer months. I only wear cotton crotch undies. I also take a shower right after I have intercourse. I hope this helps and good luck

Nope. it's simply a quick swab that they send off to test for yeast. Having the yeast infection would be more annoying than having the test, for sure.

Hi again lol. No it does not hurt!! A doctor should perform laboratory tests including microscopic evaluation of vaginal fluid.
