Everytime I ask a Question i lose 5 points. What are these points for? And, when I answer I get +2 and when I am chosen as a best answer- i get a lot. Can you tell me?

Well anytime you ask you lose 5 you answer you get2 when you choose best answer you get 3 then when someone chooses your answer as the best you get 10 But you should also check "My Q & A"

you've pretty much covered it you also get a point for rating an answer or deciding a best answer the more you participate the more you can like just now you can only answer 20 ?'s but you can answer& ask more when you get to the next level

Well, the points are kind of these nebulous things that get you to the next level. Supposedly, Yahoo will be rewarding us with some sort of thank you gift for our points in the future. To find out how many points you get for what, click on "my Q &A," and by your points it will say "tell me more," and you click on that to see the chart.

The point of the points is they encourage participation, especially from people giving answers. So, the more quality answers you give, the more points you get. The more points you have, the more privilages you have.
