Yes, because water reflects the sun and makes it even more intense. Make sure that you're also always wearing sunscreen (the waterproof kind), with at least a 15 spf, to avoid skin cancer. It's really not worth it.

Not necessarily regular water, though you will tan quicker after you go into the ocean. The salt from the ocean remains on your skin when you dry off and acts as a prism to magnify the sun's rays, increasing the rate at which you're tanned/burned.

Depends on your skin tone. You could burn first but then that would start to turn to a tan. If your spraying water on you in hot temperatures its almost like your cooking your skin, then after the burn you could start to get a deep tan

yes it does, the water helps attract the rays of the sun by magnification :) but always wear at least a 15 spf sunscreen. You'll still tan but you'll still be protected from the bad rays.

no...but it helps get you skin cancer...using a subtle tanning lotion, (like jergins tan lotion) plus spf 15+ sunscreen plus hanging out in the sun (with the previous on) gets you a nice even tan...not water

Not really.
You feel really cool, but actually the sun is literally burning your skin.
Sunscreen works best.

Tanning is so bad for your skin!! Please don't try to get too dark. Wear a sunscreen and use a bronzer instead.
