If so, how soon would this happen? Gas was about $2.86 a gallon when I filled up today.

Yes, it can be true. Anything's possible. The government won't allow mass production of alternative fuel propelled automobiles, so that way they can continue to gouge us to death until we all end up walking and riding bicycles everywhere.

P.S. You must not be in California, because gas here is like $3.69 a gallon.

Sure it can im paying 3.45 for gas here in washington state so 50 more cents can happen. My guess would be that gas prices stay relatively stable through out the summer and then drop slightly after summer. Although this really depends on whats going to happen in the middle east primarily with Iran.

Hello! Gas was 1.35 in euro for 1 liter here today in Germany. In Aggie math that works out to 1.71 quart = liter or 4x1.35 euro = 5.50 euro a gallon and 1.30 US dollars = 1 euro, so 5x30 cents added to the euro price gets $7 a gallon in good ole Texas A&M aggie math.

depends on where you are, you price is similar to mine so id say no, probably 3.25 - 3.50 max cause thatd make gas over $100 per barrel, which could happen. unless once it does hit that sort of price the prices start getting far more crazy than they are now, which i doubt. but it all depends on what happens in the middle east, but for now, i wouldnt worry about four dollar gas where you are

haha, and bush has nothing to do with "raising" gas prices, plz dont listen to people that dont know what they are talking about. the best thing is to do your own research and come to your own conclusions about things!

Look at the price per barrel versus the price at the pump. I think when oil reaches $100.00 a barrel, it will mean $4.80 a gallon in the US.

Take a look at gas prices around the world, then tell me what you think (by the way, other nations sell by litres, remember that while doing your research).
